2020 Atlas Built To Keep You In Touch

Seven trim levels, each equipped with Volkswagen’s next generation Car-Net telematics system, and the option for in-car Wi-Fi capability establish the 2020 Atlas as an SUV designed to keep you connected while on the go.

Under the Hood

Two different engines can be paired with the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas. The base model is powered by a turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.

A 3.6-liter, direct-injection six cylinder engine generating 276 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque comes with both the front-wheel drive and 4Motion versions of the 2020 Atlas.

Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Comfort & Convenience

A large panoramic sunroof with a two-part glass opening system and sunshade is available on SE with technology trims and standard on SEL and SEL Premium models.

The 2020 Volkswagen Atlas boasts an interior whose layout is clean and functional. Driver-centric displays are positioned for optimal ergonomics and usability.

All 2020 Atlas models include Volkswagen’s MIB II touchscreen infotainment system, which utilizes a capacitive-touch sensor display screen that enables gesture controls like swiping and even pinch-zooming.

Safety

The 2020 Atlas relies on a blend of both passive and active safety systems to keep occupants safe. A rearview camera is standard across all models of the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas.

Automatic Post-Collision Braking System also comes standard. This system applies the brakes when a primary collision is detected by the airbag sensors. The Atlas also includes Volkswagen’s Intelligent Crash Response System that turns off the fuel pump, unlocks the doors and switches on the hazard lights when the vehicle is involved in certain types of collisions.
