2024 Atlas Cross Sport Honored For Innovative Interiors

The 2024 Atlas Cross Sport was named to Wards 10 Best Interiors and UX list.

Wards magazine judges acknowledged the Cross Sport’s deluxe design, roomy atmosphere and safety parameters in a variety of summertime driving scenarios.

“We are honored to receive this award from Wards,” said Peter Danilovic, Vice President of Volkswagen. “The Atlas family refresh for 2024 focused heavily on improving the interior from style to comfort and convenience.”

The 2024 Atlas Cross Sport receives upscale upgrades and thoughtful touches throughout its cabin.

Comfort and convenience

A leatherette-trimmed soft-touch dash, center console and larger infotainment screen are reflections of the modern driver.

Front-row door trims and accents blend with the dashboard for a visually cohesive and sophisticated looking cockpit. An optional ambient lighting system with a 30-color palette compliments the innovative backlit dash décor and encapsulates the model’s name in captivating glow.

In-cabin features include a 10-way adjustable driver’s seat to prevent body fatigue on long journeys. The Atlas Cross Sport includes height-adjustable front passenger seat offering perfect lumbar support for relaxation.

A second-row middle arm rest offers convenient cup holders. Higher trims add a three-profile driver’s seat memory function, eight-way power front passenger seat and heated outboard seats in the second row.

Technology

For 2024, all Atlas Cross Sport models are equipped with a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro. The configurable display offers a plethora of information at a glance and allows drivers to choose from four different views.

Models with native navigation can project a full-screen map directly onto the Digital Cockpit Pro for adventure seekers looking for exciting summer destinations while also simultaneously displaying it on the center touchscreen.

The inventive dual-display keeps the map in a driver`s sightline and accessible for passengers to find alternate routes in busy summer traffic.

Interior design

Passengers can stretch out with headroom of 39.4 inches in front and 37.8 inches in the second row. Legroom is 41.7 inches up front and 40.4 inches for rear passengers.

A standard 60/40 split rear bench seating is available with a 14-degree recline function for passengers that want to stretch out during long distance summer travels.

The Atlas Cross Sport has 40.3 cubic feet of storage space when all seats are up. It comes with a maximum cargo volume of 77.6 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded down.

“The VW Atlas Cross Sport sets itself apart with a delightfully sleek and uncluttered interior that is roomy, comfortable and practical but also decidedly upscale,” said Wards Judge Drew Winter.

Safety

Volkswagen`s IQ DRIVE offers a suite of advanced driver-assistance features for safe summer driving.

The IQ DRIVE system is standard on all trims for 2024. The system uses front and rear radar, a frontal camera and several ultrasound sensors to protect occupants when the vehicle is in motion.

“The IQ DRIVE technology in the 2024 Atlas Cross Sport is one of the most comprehensive ADAS packages out there,” said Wards Judge Jim Irwin. “This is a modern vehicle that delivers extraordinary value and rewards the driver—right down to the reminder not to step out without your cell phone.”
