Volkswagen’s 2024 ID.4 has emerged as one of the safest SUVs after a series of recent tests by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety.
The battery electric SUV earned a coveted “Top Safety Pick” after impressing reviewers with top marks in crash and driver-assistance appraisals.
The ID.4 achieved the top rating of “Good” in crashworthiness and side impact assessments, which indicated the vehicle offered excellent protection in diverse collision scenarios. It also achieved “Acceptable” requirements required for the Top Safety Pick award.
IIHS prioritizes pedestrian safety in Forward Collision Warning evaluations, and the ID.4 attained an “Acceptable” rating from the agency.
Design
The SUV comes with a spacious cabin for five passengers. It is equipped with a combination of active and passive technologies that protect passengers on journeys.
