Versatile 2019 Tiguan Ready For Adventure

Sophisticated, spacious and fun-to-drive, the 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan offers buyers six different trims to choose from, as well as the optional inclusion of innovative safety technologies.

Under the Hood

All 2019 Volkswagen Tiguans are powered by an EA888 four-cylinder engine producing 184 horsepower and a maximum of 221 pound-feet of torque. This turbocharged, direct-injection 2.0-liter engine improves combustion efficiency, resulting in a motor that’s powerful and responsive.

Every 2019 Tiguan features a Start/Stop system intended to improve fuel economy and make waiting at red lights easier on the engine. The technology halts the engine during idle when the brake pedal is held. The engine restarts when the brake pedal is released.

An eight-speed automatic transmission comes standard. There’s also the option of the 4Motion with Active Control all-wheel-drive system. This advanced all-wheel drive system offers four different traction selections for dealing with various terrains.

Comfort & Convenience

Versatility, thy name is Tiguan. Two and three rows of seats are available to choose from, and several trim packages include the option of a panoramic tilt-and-slide sunroof made of acoustic glass.

Gloss gray and chrome details outfit a sporty, driver-centric cabin. A rhombus pattern adorns the cloth seats, while the SE and SEL models enjoy heated leatherette seating surfaces and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The top-tier SEL Premium package features leather seats and a heated steering wheel.

All 2019 Tiguans feature the MIB II touchscreen infotainment system that employs a capacitive-touch sensor, allowing users to swipe and pinch-zoom.

The base model employs a 6.5-inch touchscreen display, as well as a USB port, SD card, Bluetooth technology and a rearview camera.

The other Tiguan packages come equipped with a glass-covered 8-inch capacitive touchscreen display.

A wealth of convenient technologies, like the ability to receive service notifications through a smartphone are also available with the 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan.

The available Car-Net Security & Service option offers helpful features like Automatic Crash Notification, Stolen Vehicle Location Assistance and Roadside Assistance. This technology also receives reminders of last parking location, as well as the ability to remote start the engine.

Owners of the 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan who have young drivers in the family may appreciate Family Guardian, a service that alerts owners when a predetermined maximum speed limit is exceeded, a boundary is passed or curfew is violated.

Car-Net Security & Service also includes a Vehicle Health Report, which allows owners easy access to diagnostic information. The feature also notifies the customer when a service is needed, and provides a simple way to schedule a visit to the dealership.
