Three Volkswagen vehicles have been named on Cars.com’s coveted "Best Cars for Car Seats" list.
The 2024 Atlas, Atlas Cross Sport and ID.4 achieved 'A' ratings in stringent car seat checks that prioritized child safety and a seamless installation experience.
It is Volkswagen's third consecutive year of earning top honors in seat checks. The achievement underscores Volkswagen's position as a leader in child care seat safety and offering adaptable transportation options for families.

Volkswagen's Versatility for Growing Families
The three vehicles accommodate three types of car seats: infant seats, convertible seats and high-back booster seats.

The Atlas, Atlas Sport and ID.4 offer ample space in the back seats to accommodate the car seats without compromising leg room for other passengers.
Convertible seats offer rear-facing and forward-facing seating versatility for growing children. Volkswagen's interiors are comfortable and secure in both configurations.
High-back booster seats for children who have outgrown convertible seats. All three vehicles guarantee adequate space and support for the car seats.
Volkswagen's User-Friendly Latch System
Volkswagen's latch system is an easy-to-use system that ensures car seats are installed appropriately and safely for children.
Conveniently accessible latch anchors are easily located in the rear seats. Parents do not have to struggle to find them which makes the car seat installation process efficient.
Latch anchors are clearly labeled and marked. They provide parents with visual cues for proper installation and minimize confusion or mistakes.
In addition to lower anchors, Volkswagen vehicles have tethers connected to the top of the car seats for additional stability. The tether ropes are easy to find and connect which further simplifies the installation process.

Seat testing and features
The Best Car for Car Seats report compiles extensive car seat checks carried out by a team of experts.
Each appraisal is executed by a certified child passenger safety technician who installs infant, convertible and high-back booster car seats into each vehicle. The technician evaluates the vehicle's latch system and also appraises how well each vehicle accommodates multiple car seats.
In 2024, Cars.com assessed 52 vehicles focusing on roomy interiors that comfortably accommodate car seats and user-friendly Latch anchor systems for easy installation.
